Notes on habits

Currently, I am reading Atomic Habits by James Clear. The reading has been rather slow and lethargic, to be honest. Just how it goes with self-help books. Also, I've been reading Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky, which on the other hand is thrilling and fun to read.

I wanted to jot down few points from the book I've acknowledged so far. The book is about micro habits, of course. The writer explains how small and almost unnoticeable habits of ours shapes us into who we are.

    1) The quality of our lives often depends on the quality of our habits.

    2) Success is the product of daily habits, not once in life transformation,

    3) You get what you repeat.

    4) The outside world only sees the most dramatic event rather than all that preceded it.

    4) Mastery requires patience.

    5) Progress requires unlearning.

    6) We change bit by bit, day by day, habit by habit.

    7) If nothing changes, nothing is going to change.

    8) Brian remembers the past to better predict what will happen in the future.

    9) All behavior is driven by the desire to solve a problem.

    10) Most people live in the world others have created for them.
