Now, this may offend some people which it should. Do you sometimes wonder that why our situation is the way it is? That why some parts of your milieu just don’t make sense to you? Don’t you have this dire need to move forward or to abandon the areas of your surroundings that drag you down?
Why we, as a society, as a religion, as an individual, as a country not moving any forward? What is holding us back? Well, we aren’t just a society. We are a conservative society. We don’t represent the society that is familiar with positivism or the term ‘progress’. We largely feed on old values and practice them shamelessly. We are scared of new ideas, or opinions. If somebody tries to bring about a change in the social/ behavioral context of our part of the world, then we freak out. Because we are so accustomed to holding onto the old values that the new ones scare us.
Now my favorite part of the debate, we don’t have a religion. We, in fact, have a hardcore religion. We have a religion that people preserve so dearly, that even God might wonder, “damn! Why do you dumb existence love me so much? Because I don’t even e-”
People will butcher science and facts, and offer their entire lives to religious values. Such values teach us to worship stones instead of humanity. A devotee can be selfish, misogynistic, extremely biased, and yet he gets away with it. Because, believe me, he worships God and is a hardcore religious man.
Now, talking about individuals? The individuals of this country? Oh boy, what can I say? What a bunch of sorry-looking people. These people are so mixed up with their own lives that they hardly have time to be polite, patient, humble, and generous. Some people will be happy to sell their soul to eat a good meal and to earn a few bucks. And what can I say about the majority of the youths? Talk about wasting potential, running towards bullshit, investing lives on a butt of a cigarette, and risking the future for a burst of good laughter with friends.
Now, you can guess, why our country is the way it is. It starts from the very bottom of the table. The social, individual, religious factors, equally pay the cost of this heavy purchase. And as long as we don’t decrease the value of the purchase, the bill we pay will be the same until generations to come.
