We live in a world that believes in myths more than anything else. People go to temples, churches, organizations, group meetings, under the influence of myths. We commit our life for something that isn't even a real tangible thing. It is all in our brain, we choose to believe in it, if people collectively choose to ignore the aspects of our life that run under myths, the world after that will be quite hard to imagine. Such is the power of our mind, such is the strength of human thinking. Societies, organizations, companies flourish under human imagination.
While mind is a great tool for the world, it is also sometimes the tool for despair. I have been thinking about it a lot, and even Monica Geller agrees with me, we all strive for perfection. And now this may shock you, such idea doesn't exist. There is no such thing as perfect. There is no lifestyle such as perfection. There is no such idea as a perfect date, or a perfect world, or a perfect song, or a perfect idea. Everything that we encounter has a flaw. Every component has some dark side to it, and so does every human, and so does every thing about our life. I have felt, that we ruin a lot of our glorious moments of life rooting for perfection. It it isn't perfect then it isn't good. If the person isn't perfect then he/she isn't the one. This psychology of ours is supported largely by social media. The photo or the content should be perfect. Thank you Internet. Thank you for messing up with our self esteem and lifestyle and the way we look at things.
If you still don't get my point (which you should) then let me tell you this, is our life perfect? From the moment of your birth up to now, has you life been perfect? or it does it qualify for perfection? If the answer is no, then why do you search for perfection in every other little part of your life? So what, your trip was halted for a while with rain? So what, your girlfriend has a habit of asking too much attention? So what, your dog sometimes eats shit? The view after the rain was majestic, your girlfriend loves you more than anything else and will be there for you till you death, and your dog gets happy every time he sees you. See, none of this is bad. My point is, everything comes with two sides, and we have to accept both the sides and continue to live with it. Nothing is perfect, so why search for it? It would be nice if we weren't wandering around in the hall of darkness.
