Sometimes I distract myself from the absurdity of life and wonder about my existence. Why am I here? What is the sole purpose of my existence? Minutes in, I am reminded that I am just a part of this universe who will eventually turn into dust, just like the stars. And when I think too much, I start to believe that there is no such place as Earth, or Saturn or Black Hole or Apollo spacecraft or the Sun. But let's not get to that. Like Neil deGrasse Tyson, one of the renowned astrophysicist said "The Universe is under no obligation to make sense to you."
It is crazy though, this whole universe thing. Its like a separate part of our life, which is beautiful and out of our reach. Maybe that is why it is beautiful. Have you noticed that the things that are out of human reach are beautiful because they are out of our touch. We tend to ruin every natural existence and eat its beauty alive. But lets not get into the insanity of humans, I can re write the entire Game of Thrones series on the topic of human insanity. Let me ask you a thought provoking question, What if there was no such thing as universe or earth? What then? What would exist out of it? What would remain? If so, then there would be no wars, no depression, no anxiety, no climate change, no murders, no rape and other few good things. Just think about it. We take everything for granted in this life, just think about one thing you cannot live without. And now imagine your life without it. Likewise, try to imagine them without earth or universe. Does it still make sense? No, right. Because without Earth nothing is going to make sense. Your love life, your car, your morning coffee, the video game you are so good at. Nothing will exist.
We should think about these profound thoughts. Like a child, we should keep asking questions. But my dear wanderer, if you ask why does the universe exist then only void will reply back. We don't know. We simply don't know. You may ask again why. We have answers to almost everything but why not this? Exactly, that is what I keep asking. Maybe some questions goes to death bed with us, unanswered or ignored. You may refuse to believe in it but I have a quote for that from Neil deGrasse Tyson and it goes, "The good thing about science is that its true whether or not you believe in it." Even if we completely ignore the fact that Earth is not there, or moon landing is fake, or your ex is ugly, the universe will keep on functioning and expanding. The sun will keep providing light to us at an average of 8 minutes 20 seconds. The moon will continue to take light from the sun. So like me if you are skeptical about all of this, you are not wrong. After all all of this, is under no obligation to make sense to us. Same goes for Maths problem maybe. No matter how many times I ask the question, I hear answers and my ear ringing but the mystery stays there. Out of my reach, just like the universe.
